What magic will happen in these boots?

Whether it’s to take a punt, or just to show off their sport knowledge, football fans like to make a call on what’s going to happen in a game. (because everyone’s an expert right?)

To launch the adidas’ SS17 boots, we turned this behaviour into a hugely shareable digital activation, where fans were able to call what their heros were going to do in their boots, for a chance to win the game-worn boots they did it in.

To do this, we created a gif generator where users were able to make their call by filling out a digital statement, which was then brought to life with a custom animated gif. Users had to share it online to make their call official. There were close to 500 combinations!

Winners got a social shoutout from the player, and their game worn boots!
